Anti wrinkle injections
Botulinum toxin (BT) is a medically prescribed treatment which works by blocking nerve signals to muscles preventing them from contracting. By keeping the muscle in a relaxed state this results in a smoother skin and fewer wrinkles. Longevity of the treatment varies, but the relaxing effect typically starts after approximately 5 days, gets stronger over the next two weeks and lasts around 3 months. There are many ways botulinum toxins can be used and more and more discoveries about their
beneficial effects are constantly emerging. The most popular treatments are crows lines, forehead wrinkles, 11 lines between the eyebrows and to create a “brow lift”. The most well known brand of botulinum toxin is synonymous with the treatment, however as it is a prescribed drug, promoting or mentioning the brand online is not permitted.
If you are planning other treatments it is advisable to have these two weeks either side of the BT.

Dermal fillers
Used for rejuvenation or beautification, dermal fillers can be used in areas such as hands, lips, temples, mid-face, cheeks, chin and jaw. Most fillers used in clinic are composed of hyaluronic acid in various strengths suitable for different areas of the face. Semi permanent fillers which stimulate collagen production include poly-l-lactic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite.
Popular treatments include cheek enhancement, rejuvenation of lips in mature people for concerns such as “smokers” type lines, loss of volume and downturned corners of the mouth, naso-labial lines, and marionette lines. Overall, dermal fillers used for rejuvenation can create a natural lift and enhance fullness to the skin.
Popular beautification treatments in younger clients include cheek and lip enhancement and jaw definition.
Longevity depends on the area being treated and product used. For example lip treatments will generally last around 6 months whilst cheek treatments could last 18 months.
Pricing
This depends on the treatment as costs of products vary and some treatments need to be delivered at more than one appointment from a safety standpoint.
As a rule lip treatments start at £195, and other areas start at £300.
Skin Boosters
Composed of a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, skin boosters such as Profhilo plump the skin and create a healthy glow by attracting water into the tissues and by stimulating the fibroblast cells. Production of collagen and elastin is enhanced through a process called bio-remodelling. The texture and elasticity and thus quality of the skin is improved and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are reduced. The treatment is delivered by intradermal injections of the product.
Two initial treatments one month apart are recommended followed by a three monthly treatment to maintain desirable effects.
Pricing
Two initial treatments one month apart £450
Individual treatments i.e. three monthly £250
Micro-Needling
The ultimate rejuvenation treatment for glowing skin.
Micro-needling is suitable for all skin types on all areas of the body and is a treatment which targets a variety of skin concerns including (but not limited to):
-Fine lines and wrinkles
-Enlarged Pores
-Hyperpigmentation
-Damaged skin and scarring
-Loose or sagging skin
-Very dry or dehydrated skin
-Acne
-Rosacea
Pinpoint needles are inserted into the skin using a device which can be adjusted to different depths and speeds to create a bespoke treatment for a variety of concerns.
A wound healing response is triggered by the treatment facilitating two key benefits-the stimulation of collagen formation and a modality through which active ingredients can be absorbed into the skin. Intense renewal, repair and rejuvenation of the skin is stimulated and optimized, particularly when bespoke mesotherapy (the active ingredient)is used.
Triple weighted Hyaluronic acid is used as a glide for optimal penetration across all skin layers. This helps to achieve reduced fine lines and wrinkles whilst delivering youthful hydration, firmness and elasticity to the skin.
What makes this treatment so unique?
Micro-needling technology delivers vertical micro channels into the skin which compared to other rejuvenation treatments such as laser has minimal downtime and less discomfort.
3-6 treatments are advised, length between treatments varies depending on skin concern.

Polynucleotides
These are regenerative and remodeling products derived from fish DNA (yes really!) which have proven beneficial effects on skin texture and elasticity.
They are introduced into the skin intra-dermally using multiple tiny injections over the area of concern. The products stimulates the number of fibroblasts and increases their efficiency thus stimulating the production of new collagen in the tissues. They also have a role to play in free radical scavenging which protects against environmental damage and they promote hydration in the skin.
Polynucleotides have over 70 years of research and 100+ studies to support the safety and efficacy of these products. They have also been used in hair regeneration for example female alopecia and in scar revision as part of treatment used by plastic surgeons.
Polynucleotides can be used with other treatments such as peels, hyaluronic acid fillers, micro-needling, and light therapy for maximum effect.
Depending on area to be treated and concern, polynucleotides are recommended at different time intervals and various treatment protocols of between 3 and 8 sessions.

Skin Peels
A Professional skin peel is a form of exfoliation
How does this help skin rejuvenation?
As we age our cellular regeneration slows down. This can cause the skin to appear dull, lifeless and unhealthy. Regular exfoliation increases cellular proliferation and removes dull skin, resulting in a more youthful complexion.
A range of skin peels are on offer depending on your skin type and concerns.
Libra Aesthetics use top of the range products including 2024 aesthetics award winning brand PCA Skin, and Inno-aesthetics.
